DR KAPLAN'S WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Return to the Fitness training News and Holistic Health Archive
So guys, have you all had your two helpings of tomato sauce in the last week? Don't forget that it's good for the prostate. Still amazed that so many people say 'prostrate'. Prostrate is what some people are after doing a really good workout. Of course some people just like to be prostrate most of the time as - is their right. It's not good for the heart but probably doesn't have any effect on the prostate. How do you exercise the prostate then? Well, I think we will leave that for another newsletter otherwise our women readers might think I am being a bit a tad chauvinistic.
The Health News of the Week has to do with the risks involved in trying dangerous sports. The 'dangerous sport' in the news is the old game of undoing a woman's brassiere. Of course women have no problem in undoing those clips, zips and hooks. After all they have been using the same hook-and-eyes for several decades. For young men they have always been a designer disaster and turned many teenage, romantic opportunities into embarrassing moments. Still nobody had considered it dangerous to attempt to undo a women's bra. Not until now that is
The British Journal of Plastic Surgery reported a case of a young man who fractured (yes, fractured) his middle finger trying to unpick that elusive hook! This is a true story. The British Journal of Plastic Surgery is a reputable medical journal and can't be described as 'tabloid' in any way and certainly cannot afford to print spurious stories. This young Londoner's finger required surgery which is one of the two reasons why the case was published in this esteemed medical journal. What amazes me about the article is that the man considered the injury 'worth it'.
Now that is scary stuff. What would this man consider a worthy price to pay to see a completely, naked woman? A broken neck? Perhaps men are getting really desperate in these politically correct times.
I admit it's tough to be male these days - but keep exercising and don't forget to 'crunch' those abdominal muscles (using the proper equipment of course). The 'six pack' stomach is still appreciated by most women (for aesthetic and practical reasons) and is excellent for you as a strong abdominal wall helps the spine support the body. Strengthening these muscles actually gives you protection against back injuries and who doesn't know someone with a bad back? So girls and boys both need this exercise.
Until next week then, happy crunching
Do you have a baby who is teething? Or do you have a friend who has to live with one? The homeopathic remedy, CHAMOMILLA, has a fantastic reputation in this particular problem especially if the baby is very red in the face (and may occasionally have a particularly green diarrhoea) Simply get hold of some Chamomilla 30c fine granules from an homeopathic chemist, empty a few granules into the lid and tip on to the baby's tongue. You may be really surprised at how many babies respond.
