Triggers
Although seizures are often unrelated to the person's current situation, they may be triggered by some external determinants. These include:
- Lack of sleep
- Emotional stress
- Missed meals
- Alcohol ingestion/withdrawal
- Fever or some infections
In other rare cases, seizures are provoked by specific stimuli such as:
- Music
- Reading
- Any type of flashing lights, also known as photosensitive epilepsy.
