Personal Training and Exercise for Haemorrhoids

Haemorrhoids, or piles, are literally varicose veins at the end of the digestive tract. They occur when the veins at the lower end of the colon become enlarged and often inflamed. Piles serve as a good example of what acidity means as far as the body is concerned. Basically, acidity, caused by undigested proteins and sugars, tend to make the body swell. Alkalinity has the opposite effect.

Haemorrhoids are the top secret of illnesses. They are rarely talked about and yet many people suffer from them. In my book i put piles in the same group as ulcers, they have the same source, undigested protein which has fermented over a long time and become increasingly acid. Few people seem to make the connection between them and the digestion. I often find that piles sufferers are usually sedentary types who eat more protein than is good for them. There is often not enough acid in the stomach to cope with the volume of food. This can cause the system to become congested and constipated. The first step is to reduce red meat and highly refined foods.

You also need to think about starting gentle personal fitness training and swimming and reflexology are very beneficial.

Haemorrhoids Treatment plan.

It may seem odd but piles can put in an appearance if the change to a better diet is made too quickly. The haemorrhoids can easily be aggravated and possibly be made to bleed if the toxins in the gut are stirred up too quickly. Our challenge is to redress the balance in the system so that it becomes more alkaline without making the piles worse. As with all change this means proceeding slowly and with care.

Pay particular attention to the volume of each meal. The problem will be perpetuated if large quantities of food continue to be ingested and add to the existing toxic debris.

Eliminate all acid forming foods (i will go into acid and alkaline foods next week).

One or two salted, pickled umeboshi plums eaten each day will also help to change the acidity, reduce inflamation and encourage healing.

A fibre which does not provoke too much wind, thereby aggravating the piles, is advisable for the constipation (which we have already covered).

Homeopathic suppositories, such as anisan (made by pascoe) are especially helpful as they make the veins contract and heal the affected area. They also do an anisan cream which provides relief. You also need to think about starting gentle exercise. Swimming or exercising with a personal trainer can be very beneficial.
