Registered Osteopath, Naturopath & Acupuncturist
Combined Osteopathic/Pilates approach has all the answers.
by Kevin B Bell – BSc (Hons) Ost Med. DO, ND, MRN
He was described by the Evening Standard newspaper as the ‘Uber-Osteopath’ and referred to in Vogue as the ‘Muscle Man’. Kevin is a well recognised London based Osteopath, originally from New Zealand. He comes from a sporting background having played rugby and competed in national surf lifesaving and flat-water kayak racing in New Zealand. He also is a keen cyclist and triathlete.
In 2002 he established The Harcourt Clinic which offers osteopathy, naturopathy, acupuncture and Pilates therapy. Although specialising in sports and dance injuries the clinic is open to everybody. The combination of Kevin’s skills enables him to treat a wide range of conditions from musculoskeletal pain, digestive disorders, allergies, addictions and migraine to general health, exercise and life-style advice.
Injuries are assessed, diagnosed and treatment programmes formulated before therapy begins.
Kevin is a strong believer in core-stabilising exercise. Most injuries come about because of asymmetries in the body, where some areas of the body are under-working whilst others compensate by over-working. His combined osteopathic/Pilates approach has all the answers. While Kevin realigns the body through osteopathy, his group of Pilates practitioners carry out the prescribed exercise programmes to establish and maintain core stability.
During his time in London he has become respected in the dance world having treated members of the Royal Ballet, Bolshoi and Kirov dance companies. As well as working with dancers and sports people he is also known in the television and film industry.
